That’s CAPITALISM not Socialism no matter how hard you try to spin it. Payback for decades of Americans getting screwed out of their hard earned money by other countries. We subsidized other countries with our taxes and purchases. They tariffed American exports and took advantage of our market. A rebate sounds fair as long as it’s really paid for and not just rolled into the national debt.

An interesting take. My takeaway is that the same team who derided Dems as tax and spend socialists pumping up the deficit are taxing, spending, and pumping up the deficit even worse. I hate to agree with the fiscal conservatives but the same logic should apply no matter what color your election sign is, without the sleight of hand verbal Olympics.

I am pretty sure the whole point of socialism is that everybody gets it. Also, didn't conservatives blame the stimulus checks for the inflation? As economist say, inflation is too much money chasing too few goods. Why would this round of stimulus spending be any different? In fact, since we already have growing inflation, would this not super-charge it?
