Here's What This Is
Fifteen years inside political media. Now writing about how it actually works.
I co-founded Mediaite in 2009 and spent fifteen years as its Founding Editor — long enough to watch political media go from a scrappy corner of the internet to one of the central forces shaping American public life. I’ve been inside cable news, digital media, and the business of political journalism long enough to know how the machine works. I helped build part of it.
This site is where I write about all of it.
You’ll find two things here.
A daily column on media, politics, and culture. Most weekday mornings, occasionally on weekends when something can’t wait. The subjects range from Fox News coverage strategy to NBA referee narratives to whatever political story the press is getting structurally wrong.
The Morning Frame, a daily political media intelligence briefing I publish each weekday. It tracks which narratives are gaining power, which are losing it, and what the gap between different media ecosystems reveals about the day’s real story.
Everything here is currently free. Subscribe, forward to someone who’d find it useful, and hit reply with thoughts. I read everything.
Glad you’re here.
