Beyond that I’ve spent over two decades trapped inside political media — I founded Mediaite and spent over a decade watching how the news actually gets made, packaged, and sold. I’ve emerged from the belly of the whale, smelling of plankton and eager to share whatever insights I learned.
This Substack is intended to provide a daily read on the narratives driving political media and the incentives behind them. Not what happened — everyone has that. Why the coverage looks the way it does: what cable news is really doing, who’s spinning whom, which story is being inflated and which is being buried, and what it all tells you about the people deciding what you see.
